Victor joined Dake Wells Architecture in 2024 as a Design Associate in the firm’s Springfield office. A graduate of Kansas State University’s College of Architecture, Planning & Design, Victor launched his architectural career following a transition from music. Raised by music educators, Victor studied and practiced the trumpet for most of his life, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music. Following graduation, Victor enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a trumpet instrumentalist with the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band in Okinawa, Japan and the 3rd Marine Airforce Band in Miramar, California. He was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his service.
Content with one honorable enlistment, Victor separated from the military in 2020 with the intent to earn a Master of Music Education. However, multiple factors that year triggered a resurgence of interests and passions for architecture and the built environment. Having flirted with the idea of architecture school in the past, Victor finally made the choice to pursue a Master of Architecture, which he earned in 2024.
At Dake Wells Architecture, Victor contributes to a broad range of projects for educational and municipal clients. He is motivated by the impact that design and making – through the hard work and skill of human intervention – has on all aspects of life. In his work, he seeks to achieve simple, beautiful design solutions that strike a balance between function and aesthetics.
