Trace joined Dake Wells Architecture in 2023, first as a student intern and then as a Design Associate following graduation from Drury University with a Master of Architecture degree. From an early age, Trace was exposed to construction and furniture building. This exposure forged in him a deep interest in how things come together – in the process of transforming an idea into a functional object. If you ask Trace what part of the design and construction process is most interesting to him, he might say that he’s drawn to the early brainstorming stages of the design process…followed immediately by a passionate explanation that this is where the the problem-solving process takes off. We all know it’s the puzzle he loves – the promise of a challenge and finding a creative solution to whatever problem is set before him.
